Physical intelligence systems

Intelligence for the physical world.

We design the hardware, telemetry, communications and positioning systems that connect people, animals and objects to the digital world.

  1. Sense
  2. Connect

Mission

We build systems that make the physical world machine-readable.

From centimetres to kilometres. Inside buildings and across open countryside.

Care3 Labs develops the infrastructure required to sense, locate and communicate with the physical world. We start at the board and finish at the application, because the hard decisions sit in between.

  • Sense it.
  • Locate it.
  • Connect it.
The common problem

Three industries.
One engineering problem.

A collar on a hillside, a resident in a corridor and a ball in flight look like three different products. Each domain asks its own questions — and underneath, they are the same three.

Farmland: mesh anchors across field boundaries locating a collar and reporting to a yard gateway.FIELD / MESH / GNSSA01A02A03WATERCOW_214PARCEL 07 / GRAZINGGATEWAY

Farm

Where is the herd?
Which parcel, which gate, which end of the valley.
What is each animal doing?
Grazing, ruminating, calving — or still for too long.
How does data get off the hill?
Hop by hop, over ground the farm owns. No mast, no subscription.
Interior: ceiling anchors resolving a wearable to a specific room within a floor plan.FLOOR PLAN / RTLSR01R02R03R05R04TAG_042ROOM 04 / DWELL 6M

Telecare

Where is the resident?
Which room, which floor, which side of the door.
What has changed?
Movement, dwell, a call raised, a door opened at night.
How does anyone find out?
As an event routed to staff, not a reading buried in a log.
Course: anchors along a hole reconstructing a ball's flight, first bounce and resting position.CORRIDOR / TRAJECTORYTEEAPEXC01C02C03BALL_037FLIGHT / BOUNCE / ROLL

Sport

Where did the ball go?
The resting position, and everywhere it passed through.
What happened in flight?
Launch, apex, first bounce, roll.
How does the course report it?
Anchors along the hole, listening the length of the fairway.
Underneath, the same three questions — and one answer

One platform answers all three, in every vertical.

Question → core module
  1. Where is it?

    Positioning engine

Anchor geometry, ranging and sensor fusion resolve a position with a confidence figure — a parcel on a hillside, a room in a building, a lie on a fairway.

  2. What is it doing?

    Sensing & edge ML

Custom models classify behaviour on the device itself, so the network carries events — grazing, a door opened at night, a first bounce — not raw waveforms.

  3. How do we get the data back?

    Private DECT NR+ radio

Licence-free spectrum, multi-hop mesh and store-and-forward gateways. Coverage the site owns — no mast, no carrier, no subscription.

The verticals

Three verticals. One platform.

HerdHalo, Intoku and ARC3 each carry the same hardware, radio and positioning core into one of the three verticals.

Positioning

Indoor.
Outdoor.
Anywhere between.

The environment chooses the method. We match anchor layout, ranging technique and power budget to the site in front of us, rather than forcing one technology onto every problem.

Method

Four fixed references, four range estimates, one intersection. Accuracy is decided by anchor geometry long before it is decided by the algorithm — move the tag toward a corner and watch the confidence fall.

Hardware

From schematic to field deployment.

Designed from the ground up. Boards, enclosures and antennas engineered as one family, so the same building blocks serve a farm, a telecare site and a golf course.

The platform

One platform, proven in three markets.

One core — hardware, radio, positioning — built once and carried into three markets. Each product above it is a different set of field conditions proving the same platform.

  1. Embedded hardware

    Boards designed around the radio.

One board family, hardened by every deployment.

  2. DECT NR+ MAC profile

    We own the radio layer.

Licence-free spectrum, no carrier — and the MAC profile is ours to tune.

  3. Positioning engine

    One engine, indoors and out.

The same software fixes a position in a field, a building or on a fairway.

  4. Telemetry & edge

    Custom ML models for sensing.

Classification on the device; the network carries events, not waveforms.

Digital twins

Every site becomes a model we can plan, replay and learn from.

A digital twin built from the site itself, not from a drawing. It is where the data goes to work: planning anchor layouts before a van leaves the yard, replaying what the network saw, and training the models that go back onto the devices.

  1. Model the site

Photogrammetry and AWS IoT TwinMaker rebuild the real place to scale — the fold of a hill, a corridor, the run of a fairway — not a drawing of it.

  2. Bind the live network

Every anchor, tag and event lands in the geometry it happened in. Coverage, positioning and behaviour can be watched live, replayed and audited.

  3. Learn across sites

Radio behaviour, movement and terrain repeat. What one twin teaches — where anchors belong, what a normal night looks like, how a ball runs on wet turf — starts the next site ahead.
